Short animated explainers, no sound needed. Each one has a transcript, and every number in it matches the calculators.

- Your body burns energy even at rest. That's your BMR: about 1,528 kcal a day for a 35-year-old woman who is 5 ft 6 in and 180 lb.
- Daily movement multiplies it. Light activity is × 1.375, so 1,528 becomes about 2,101 kcal. That's your TDEE.
- Eat about 500 kcal less than your TDEE and you're in a deficit: around 1,601 kcal a day.
- That's roughly 1 lb a week at first. Loss slows as your body adapts, so treat the number as a starting point and adjust.

- After you eat, your gut releases a hormone called GLP-1. GLP-1 medicines copy it, but last much longer in the body.
- It slows how fast your stomach empties, so you feel full sooner and stay full for longer.
- It also acts on appetite centers in the brain, which quiets hunger and constant thoughts about food.
- When blood sugar is high, it helps the pancreas release insulin. Tirzepatide also acts on a second gut hormone, GIP.

- GLP-1 doses start low. Zepbound starts at 2.5 mg, a starter dose that gives your gut time to adjust.
- After at least 4 weeks, your prescriber may step it up by 2.5 mg, up to a maintenance dose of 5, 10 or 15 mg.
- Stomach side effects like nausea often flare for a few days after each increase, then settle on the same dose.
- Staying on a dose longer is common and allowed by the label. Never increase faster than your prescription says.

- Not all the weight you lose is fat. In trial body scans, roughly a quarter to two-fifths of weight lost on GLP-1s was lean mass.
- Eating enough protein and doing strength training both help protect that muscle while the weight comes off.
- A common target while losing weight is 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram a day. At 180 lb that's about 98 to 131 grams.
- Split it across meals. About 30 to 45 grams at each of three meals is far easier than catching up at night.
- Numbers match the formulas and FDA labels used across the site.

Tools for the parts nobody explains
Your prescriber sets the dose. These help with everything between appointments: the calendar, your stomach, the scale and the bill.
Your dose
Know which step you're on, when the next one is due and what the label says about each.
Your progress
See what the trials suggest for someone your weight, then track yourself against it.
Your costs

Small wins count
You don't need a huge number to feel better
Losing just 5% to 10% of your weight can improve blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol, according to the CDC. For a 200 lb person, 5% is 10 lb.

Why Sunny Weigh
AI can summarize. It can't do your math
Search now opens with an AI summary of doses and side effects. Handy, but it can't work out your protein floor at 182 lb or a titration calendar from your start date. That's the gap we fill, and we show every step so you can check it.
- Every formula named and shown with your own numbers substituted
- Every drug fact linked to its FDA label on DailyMed or the trial paper
- Every page dated and re-checked on a schedule: prices monthly, labels quarterly
Trial results, side by side
How much weight people lost in the trials
Average weight loss on each medicine in its main weight-management trial, with diet and activity advice for everyone, including the placebo groups.
These come from different trials with different people and lengths, so they aren't a head-to-head result. For a direct comparison, see Zepbound vs Wegovy.

Questions
Before you trust a calculator
Fair questions for any health tool. Here are straight answers.
How accurate are these calculators?
They use the formulas clinicians and researchers use, such as Mifflin-St Jeor for calorie needs, and we show each one with your numbers in it. Any formula estimates an average; your real needs can differ by 10% or more, so track your results and adjust.
Is Sunny Weigh medical advice?
No. The tools do math and summarize FDA labels and published trials. Your prescriber decides whether a medicine fits you and at what dose.
Do you sell GLP-1 medicines or work with drug makers?
No. We don't sell medicine, we aren't affiliated with Eli Lilly or Novo Nordisk, and we never rank or promote compounded-drug sellers.
Where do the prices come from?
From manufacturer pricing pages and announcements. Each price shows when we last checked it, and prices are re-checked monthly because they change often.
Do you store my weight or health data?
No. Calculators run in your browser, and the weigh-in tracker saves entries only on your device. There's no account to create.
