Privacy policy

Short version: your calculator inputs and weigh-ins stay on your device. The only health-related data we collect is what you send us, with consent, when you ask a clinician to reach out.

Your calculator inputs stay on your device

Our calculators run entirely in your web browser. The numbers you type, like your age, weight, height or medicine, are not sent to our servers.

  • Weigh-in tracker and "Save my plan": stored in your browser's local storage on your device only. We can't see them. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
  • Share links: when you copy a link to your result, your inputs go in the part of the address after the # sign. Browsers don't send that part to our servers. Anyone you share the link with can see those numbers.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. It uses cookies and collects information like your approximate location, device type and pages viewed. We don't send your calculator inputs to Google Analytics.

You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

Ads are currently turned off. We may later show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings. We will update this policy, and our cookie choices, before ads go live.

Email

We collect your email address only if you subscribe to our newsletter or price alerts. We use it to send what you asked for, and every email has an unsubscribe link. We don't sell email addresses.

Consumer health data

Some state laws protect consumer health data, including Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's SB 370 and Connecticut's consumer health data rules.

Calculator inputs and weigh-ins stay on your device. The one place we collect consumer health data is the clinician-introduction form, because asking for help with weight-loss care is health-related information.

We collect it only after you tick a separate consent box, we use it only to make the introduction you asked for, and we share it only with a licensed clinician or practice in your state. We don't sell it. You can ask us to see or delete it, or withdraw consent, by emailing [email protected].

If you ask a clinician to reach out

When you use the "Find a clinician" form we collect your first name, email, state, what you'd like help with, your preferred contact method and, if you give it, your phone number. We also keep the exact consent wording you agreed to, the page you were on and the time.

  • We share it with one licensed clinician or practice in your state so they can contact you.
  • We call or text you only if you ticked the separate phone consent box. Consent isn't required to get help, and you can reply STOP anytime.
  • We keep form records for up to 24 months, then delete them, unless law requires longer.
  • We may be compensated for introductions. That never changes our content, calculators or rankings.

Children

Sunny Weigh is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
