Step by step
- Step 1Inject under the skin of the stomach, thigh or upper arm on the same day each week.
- Step 2Attach a new needle each time and check the flow before the first use of each new pen.
- Step 3Never share a pen, even if the needle is changed.
Timing
You can change your weekly day as long as there are at least 2 days (48 hours) between doses.
Take the missed dose as soon as possible within 5 days. If more than 5 days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on your usual day.
Eating while you take it
Smaller meals, stopping when you're full and going easy on greasy foods can help with nausea. Make protein the first part of each meal: find your protein floor.
